Versa Spa Tips

​

The Versa Spa is completely cosmetic and completely UV-Free. It comes in three shades-and we can help you choose the one that is best suited for your skin tone and the result that you want. The spray itself takes only a few minutes and it generally lasts between four to six days.

What you need to know before you do the Versa Spa :
 

• You should shower as soon as you can before coming in for your Versa Spa . You should also shave and exfoliate your skin completely. (Use an exfoliant that's non-abrasive).
   

• Don't wear any makeup, lotion, perfume, or deodorant before your Versa Spa session. These products could inhibit the development of the Versa Spa solution.
   

• You should wear loose fitting, dark clothing. The Versa Spa solution dries very quickly, but the darker shades may rub off on your clothing a little bit before your first shower. But don't worry- it washes out of most fabrics! You should not wear any jewelry when getting a Versa Spa .
   

What you need to know after you do the Versa Spa :
 

• Do not do anything that involves water for at least 6 to 8 hours after the Versa Spa application. This includes showering and swimming. You should also avoid rain, and avoid doing any workouts that will make you sweat. After you wait 6 to 8 hours, you can continue with any activities you normally do. The longer you wait, the darker your spray tan will turn out.
   

• Add life to your tan with a tan extending moisturizer. This vitamin-enriched, tan extending lotion enhances, lengthens and refreshes your Versa Spa by delivering just a hint of color with each application.
   

How long does the Versa Spa application take?
The entire process takes only a few minutes!

How long does the Versa Spa application last?
Everyone's skin is different, but for most people it lasts about 4-6 days.
 

Can I wear a swimsuit while doing the Versa Spa ?

Most people tan in the nude to get that all-around color. Undergarments or swimsuits can be worn if you are more comfortable and if you don't care about tan lines. However, please note that anything you wear in the booth may get ruined.

Will the Versa Spa stain my clothes?

Generally speaking, no. We recommend that you wear loose-fitting, dark clothing in a soft material such as cotton. Sometimes the darker shade might rub off onto your clothing or sheets before your first shower, but generally it does not stain and will wash out. However, please avoid wearing fabrics such as silk or rayon before your first shower, as it will not wash out of these materials.

Does the Versa Spa look fake or "orange?"

No! It looks completely natural and it fades evenly, too. And remember, it comes in a couple of different shades, so you can choose the one that will look more natural with your skin tone.

What about my hair?

We provide you with a shower cap to protect your hair. And if you do get a little in your hair, it will wash right out.

How long do I have to wait between Versa Spa Sessions?

That is entirely up to you. Most people who do the Versa Spa regularly get one about once a week, or once it begins to fade. Or, if you want even darker results, you can do two at once (at the same time)!

Does the Versa Spa look streaky or fade looking "spotty?"

Nope. As long as you wait at least 6 to 8 hours before showering, you will have nothing to worry about.

Will the Versa Spa provide a sufficient base tan before I go on vacation?

Unfortunately, no. The Versa Spa is completely cosmetic and does not provide a sufficient base tan. We recommend that you do some tanning in a regular UV booth before going away, and always wear an SPF when spending any significant amount of time in the sun. Also, swimming in either salt or chlorinated water regularly will cause your Versa Spa to fade more quickly.

Is the Versa Spa safe?

The active ingredient is dihydroxyacetone (DHA), more commonly known as Self-Tanner. This is the same ingredient that is found in all self tanning lotions and it is approved by the FDA. (However, women who are breastfeeding should cover their nipples during the application process).
